Watch two runs at known speeds, then name the speed of the third.
Daily
The same five rounds for everyone today. Your first finished attempt counts.
Seeded
Five rounds fixed by a seed. Share the seed and compare with friends.
Endless practice
One round after another, unscored, with free replays.
Blind play shows only the mystery run and the distance. A blind round is worth more.
Seeded set
Up to 8 hex digits. The same seed gives the same five rounds.
Your stats
Loading…
Only finished sets count, and only your first attempt at each daily and each seed. Endless practice is not scored. Blind sets are scored out of a higher maximum, so they are kept apart.
How to play
A round
- The course shows a start marker A and a finish marker B, with the distance between them labelled.
- Three runs play over that same distance: a slower run, a faster run, then the mystery run. The signs under the course give the speeds of the first two.
- Enter your estimate of the mystery run's speed. It always lies between the two signs.
- The reveal shows the true speed, how far off you were, and your score for the round.
There is no timer. Take as long as you like.
The dot and the markers
Each run is timed at the vehicle's nose. The dot above the nose marks that point. A and B light up as the dot crosses them, and the radar unit at B flashes at the finish. The vehicle is already at speed when it enters and keeps that speed until it leaves.
Scoring
A round is worth up to 1,000 points and a set of five up to 5,000. A close guess costs almost nothing, and the cost grows quickly as the miss gets larger. Being 10% out costs about 200 points.
Replays
Once the runs have played you can replay any of them. Each replay costs 200 points from that round, about the same as a 10% miss, so buy one only if it will improve your estimate by that much.
Ways to play
- Daily. The same five rounds for every player, changing at midnight UTC. Your first finished attempt counts toward your stats and your streak.
- Seeded. Five rounds fixed by a seed of up to 8 hex digits. The same seed always gives the same rounds.
- Endless practice. Unscored, with free replays.
- Blind. For seeded and endless play. Only the mystery run is shown, so you work the speed out from the distance and the time. A blind round is worth up to 1,750.
Units
Switch between mph and km/h at any time. The rounds and the scoring are the same in both.
Options
Units
A display setting only. The rounds and the scoring do not change.
Move to another browser
A one-time code copies your record to a second browser, so both share your stats, your streak and any set in progress.
Entering a code replaces this browser's own record with the other one.
Forget me
Deletes your ID and everything stored against it, at once and permanently, in every browser that shares it.
Privacy
What Radardle stores about you
Radardle has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or any other details about you.
When you first play, we give your browser a random ID and keep a copy on our server. Against that ID we store your unit preference and a record of the rounds you play: your guesses, how many replays you took, your scores and when you played. We use this to let you pick up a set where you left off, to show you your own stats, and to tell you how your daily score compares with other players'.
That comparison is a single percentage. No other player can see your scores, your ID or anything else about you.
What we do not do
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking. The fonts and images on this site come from our own server, so your visit is not reported to any other company. We do not sell or share what we store.
Your browser
Your ID and your display choices are kept in your browser's storage. They are needed for the game to work and are not used for anything else. If you move your ID to another browser with a transfer code, both browsers share one record.
Deleting your data
Choose "Forget me" in Options to delete your ID and everything stored against it, at once and permanently. This applies to every browser that shares the ID. Our backups are kept for seven days, so any copy in them is gone within a week.
Clearing your browser's data removes the ID from your device but does not delete the record on our server, and afterwards we have no way to find it for you. Use "Forget me" first if you want it gone. Any record that has not been played for 12 months is deleted automatically.
Server logs
We do not keep a log of visits, and we never record your network address alongside your ID. Our firewall and server software may note the network address of a blocked or failed connection for security and troubleshooting. Those records are deleted within seven days.
Children
Radardle is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not ask anyone's age and have no way of knowing it. A parent who wants a child's record removed can use "Forget me" on the device the child plays on.
